LGBT+ Sports Federation

The LGBT+ Sports Federation is recognised as a public interest organisation by the Ministry of Sports. It is a multi-sport federation centred on people and personal development. It structures inclusive sport in France through its LGBT+ sports nonprofits, bringing together 10,000 people who play sport. Our values Every individual or legal person who is a member of the LGBT+ Sports Federation commits to respecting, defending and promoting our values. Respect Sport requires tolerance and respect for one's opponent and the referee – without which the sporting contest could not exist – as well as for the environment; and it demands that victories and defeats be accepted in equal measure. Respect for the game, the rules, oneself, others, and sporting and public institutions are the sine qua non conditions of virtuous sporting practice. Inclusion Open to everyone, regardless of the form of practice or discipline, sport leads us to adopt a caring approach and to promote equal opportunities. With honesty and fairness, this means ensuring sporting practice of integrity. Solidarity Fostering cohesion and connection in the sporting world, being altruistic and showing a spirit of fellowship means encouraging partners to help and support one another, both in difficult moments such as defeat and fatigue, and all the way through to victory and joy. Surpassing oneself Pushing beyond one's own mental, physical and moral limits is one of the important components of sport. Surpassing oneself is achieved through sharing with others. Our events The LGBT+ Sports Federation organises its own events or takes part in public events: sporting competitions, information and exchange forums, round tables, and social gatherings.
