Inter-nonprofit space, inaugurated on 16 May 2023 at 22, rue Malher, in the Marais, dedicated to mutual aid and support for the most stigmatised LGBTQI+ people, including migrants, victims of violence, and transgender people. Located in the heart of the historic Marais district (Paris Centre), the space at 22, rue Malher is dedicated to the most vulnerable, most invisible people within the LGBTQI+ minority — those who require greater support: people living in economic precarity, in exile, racialised people, trans people, people living with HIV, victims of violence… This premises, belonging to the City of Paris, makes it possible to create a new space for welcome, support, and exchange. Seven nonprofits pool their spaces, expertise, and drop-in sessions: ARDHIS, a nonprofit for the recognition of the rights of gay and trans people in immigration and residency matters; OUTrans, an organisation for the self-support of trans people and the fight against transphobia; ANKH defends the LGBTQI+ community from Arab-majority countries; Wassla, a nonprofit aimed at creating a space for expression, sharing, and mutual aid for LGBTQI+ people and allies from Arab-majority countries, whilst remaining open to any nationality or background. Espace santé trans, a nonprofit promoting the health of trans people based in Île-de-France; Le FLIRT - Front de libération transfem, a mutual aid collective for young trans women; The year 2023, in a few figures… 1,300 asylum seekers received €14,184 in financial aid for trans women living in precarity Nearly 200 training and awareness-raising sessions for professionals (healthcare, asylum, interpreters…) Around 110 drop-in sessions (psychological, social, administrative, open access or by appointment) More than 700 individual support sessions (initial listening or ongoing support), including 534 psychological interviews More than 300 discussion groups or collective workshops Around one hundred festive and cultural events 77.6K subscribers to XY Média 1,800 threads/email exchanges with trans people and people questioning their identity 4,000 printed brochures
