France's first LGBT carnival, rooted in the Niçois tradition of carnival festivities, this is a popular event open to everyone. It is committed to promoting values of sharing, inclusion, and living together!
What other event can bring together in a single show the most talented Niçois batucadas, the most dazzling drag queens, and so many artists carrying a great universal message of sharing and goodwill?
Since its launch in 2015, Lou Queernaval has drawn audiences from every region of France and from the four corners of the world. Lou Queernaval marks the start of an exceptional weekend of festivities. Follow the programme each year — there's plenty in store!
Free of charge, this one-of-a-kind event in France is put on by the Nice LGBTQIA+ community in close partnership with the services of the City of Nice and the Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur.
Open to everyone, Lou Queernaval, France's first LGBT carnival, commits itself with humility and its own touch of madness to bringing the great popular tradition of the Carnaval de Nice to life in a modern way.
