A little history to start with: the Madame Arthur cabaret opened its doors in 1946. It was the very first drag cabaret in Paris and hosted stars of the genre such as Bambi and Coccinelle. Serge Gainsbourg's father was a pianist there, and his son even filled in for him on occasion, and wrote his first compositions there!
But who is Madame Arthur today?
Quite simply, it is a venue that puts on a different show every week. Bringing together several highly talented drag artists on stage, with make-up more outrageous than the last, in ever-surprising settings. Whether at the piano, singing, dancing, or in a trance, the shows at Madame Arthur never leave anyone indifferent.
It is open all year round, Thursday to Saturday from 20h to 06h and Sunday from 20h to 00h!
21h to 22h: An original show on a different theme each week (Gets Dalida dancing, Heats up Abba…)
22h45 to 23h45: Guigui's French Test (French music blind test on Fridays and Saturdays)
23h to 00h: A song set from our performers in a more intimate setting
00h to 06h: Club & Performances, our creatures of the night take control from 1am onwards
